Postworkout Meal

One hour after my Surge, I have my whole food pw meal. Normally, this is chicken and a sweet potato.

Yes, I do follow the Berardi recommendations for 40 g Protein and 80 g Carbs for the 220 pd athlete.

Does the potato process fast enough or is there a better carb I could pick?

The sweet potato is an excellent choice! It’s fast enough, yes, but if you’re looking for variety, white or brown rice, oatmeal, and (whole wheat?) pasta are all good choices, too.
