These I just posted were all painted by Thomas Cole.
The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed with the Sun: 'the Devil is come down'....
By William Blake...
Procession of The Magi by Benozzo Gozzoli.
One of three walls in fresco commissioned by the Medicis for their chapel.
I've always been a sucker for early Renaissance art, and I love the abstract, geometric nature of the rocks & foliage.
Plus the bottom left hand corner kind of reminds me of the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Hieronymus Bosch Christ Carrying the Cross
Franz Marc - Blue Horse.
Vincent Van Gogh - Night Cafe
That one looks pretty good.
Tree of Life
I love most paintings by Klimt. I find them sensual and erotic and the colour is stunning. Much of the embroidery I do has elements in it I pulled from his paintings.
I see.... a tree.
Now thats a lame interpretive piece of art.
