Post Your 2011 Goals!


Where do you want to go in 2011? Writing it down and putting it out there for all to see gives goals power and helps all the powerful women support each other throughout the year.

Your goals can be numbers, physique goals, health goals - whatever you want. Post up!


I personally want a 270/175/300 and a 2 plate pullup with NO injuries.


I want to find how many licks until I get to the center of a tootsie roll pop :wink:

cereally :
bench 160
squat 225
dead 300

and considering you plan on hitting similar numbers with over 20lbs less I'm going to hang my head in shame. Just teasin (insert emoticon... who am I kidding? :wink:


I want to have of my lifts up by 15%, be able to do 20 pullups, and do 100 pushups in 2 minutes


My goals:

Improve physique
Wear a bikini for the first time in my life!
Maintain weight/pant size
Focus on strength(225 squat, 300+ DL, 100+ MP, at least 1 PULL UP!!!!!11!) :slightly_smiling:
Stop neglecting the cardio side of the house
go back to school

There's probably more..


I am still considering this.

But number one on the list is always going to be: don't get injured.


Mine are in my own thread but basically, lose weight, do a handstand, the splits, 10 chins and a half-marathon. Nothing weight-based, though, as I've got too many injury problems. I'm putting more emphasis on mobility/flexibility and functionality.


Interesting..it seems many of us have a goal to not get injured. Kimba - how can you not have any goals?? tisk tisk..

Kimba's 2011 goals

  1. Not get injured.
  2. Continue to fit into my size 25 Hudsons.
  3. Run a 5K race fast.
  4. Get a 200 lb. sumo deadlift. This requires me to add 15 lbs. to my best DL.
  5. Get a 135 lb. squat with no knee cave. I know I can squat 130 lbs. with horrible, terrible form, but that's not what I'm looking for.
  6. Get a 100 lb. bench press. I need 8 lbs. more for this one.
  7. Get a 70 lb. military press. This is probably the hardest goal of them all.


2011 GOALS

  1. 25 fucking pullups
  2. +45lb weighted pullups (a set of three).
  3. 300lb DL. (maybe more of a dream).
  4. To hit (what I believe are my current 1 rep maxes) 225 DL, 150 Squat, and 100 Bench for some serious reps.


I have no idea what is feasible (whether I'm under or over aspiring), but here goes:

1.5x bodyweight deadlift
1x bodyweight front squat
1x bodyweight overhead squat (ha!)
10 chin-ups, 1 pull-up
bodyweight overhead press (pp or jerk ok)
clean 'n jerk bodyweight
snatch bodyweight (ha!)

if i don't get 'em in 2011 hopefully i'll get 'em in 2012 :slight_smile:


1) stretch/foam roll 30 min, 2-3x per week
2) cardio 30 min 3x per week including one session with high intensity intervals
3) limit caffeine intake to one cup of coffee or two cups of tea per day
4) same lifting goals as Bobbi-270/175/300
5) avoid gluten for the first month of 2011 to ascertain intolerance than go from there
6) fit comfortably into all of my size 26 jeans, legs permitting lol
7) decide once and for all whether I want to eat meat then live with conviction instead of torturing myself daily
8) save more money-plan all purchases/no impulse buys
9) eat out only 2x/per week MAX
10) 1.5g protein per body weight at the LEAST

lol...I think I could go on but I'm going to stop there.


Owlie, thank you for not making me the only one who includes JEANS in her 2011 goals. :slightly_smiling:

If I can comment on the "no impulse buys" goals, give yourself some wiggle room. That absolute NO is not gonna work, and I'd hate for you to get discouraged about the super-important goal of being smart with your money.


I included 'pant size,' in my goals.


some 2011 goals:

  • turn 30 the leanest i've been in my adult life
  • bw military press
  • 325 lb dl for a triple (for snap = 2.5 x's bw x 3)
  • not get drunk once this year
  • 190 lb front squat (for snap = 1.5 x's bw)
  • 75 lb db snatch

Hmm Goals for 2011..

  1. Not to get hurt..I've had a few nagging things in 2010
  2. Bench 225
  3. Deadlift 500..at 405 right now
    4 Squat 495..a little high but why not go big lol
  4. Drop another pants size..haven't figured out how I'm going to do that and not lose strength but damnmit I'm going to try

nice goals. Good luck! I'll contribute:

  1. run 7 miles. I can get to 6 before i cant run anymore
  2. a 225lb back squat
  3. a 100lb bench press
  4. a 200 lb deadlift. straight legged. And i'll work on regular deadlifts as well
  5. incorporate snatches into my workouts
  6. drop bodyfat by 2%
  7. run a 7 minute mile. Averaging 7.5min as of today.
  8. increase hip size to 43 inches. Here I come j-lo booty!


ooo i just saw this!

initially i had number goals, but naw. just wanna keep at it. keep life flexible!
-number one is stay uninjured!
-get misc f'd up tattoos fixed!-> i got have lots!
-weigh pros vs cons! always! for everything!
-go overseas! i wanna go to Scandinavia!
- i wanna be an inch and a half taller too. (idea stolen from pmpm)


ok, been thinking...

1) stay uninjured
2) get down a weightclass without have to cut prior to a meet
3) get a SPF Pro total in single ply (for women-200# over elite totals)
4) learn to like my job
5) cut down on existing credit
