Post-Workout Nutrition Parameters

Currently, I am taking 40g of dextrose, 40g of maltodextrin, and 40g of a blend of proteins (whey isolate, micellular membrane casein, and a hydrolyzed whey). I’m looking to switch over to Surge or even Metabolic Drive Complete (but then add some simple carbs).

What parameters do you guys use for post-workout nutrition? I’ve read, and currently use, .8 g/kg bodyweight for carbs, and .4 g/kg bodyweight for protein. Any input would be appreciated.

Regardless of the exact g/kg measurements you use, just make sure it’s a 2:1 ratio of carbs to protein, which you’re obviously on top of anyway, so keep it up.

Train hard.

The parameters I use include a whole lot of food. Plenty of carbs, a good amount of protein, and I never worry if some fats get mixed in there. Sometimes it’s from my blender and sometimes at the pizza joint or a sushi spot.

I love Surge, but I don’t use it after every workout. And even when I have earned it, the whole lot of food follows shortly thereafter.
