First time post on the site…I play affiliated baseball and recently got ACL surgery (allograft) 11/4 which really set me back. Haven’t been able to due much for obvious reasons and the holidays are kicking my rear…just got cleared for biking (slow-moderate) no lance armstrong but its still physical activity…looking for some advice from those who have had the surgery, and dropped weight post op. During AA ball I was listed at 6’2 234, checked in at 251 sunday night, ACL’s are not fun!. suggestions/comments

Do you have full knee extension???
Get full knee extension!! This is a huge predictor of long-term success and arthritis rates i.e. how quickly you get full knee extension range of motion back.
Week 4 is Friday…currently at 96* flexion

How about extension though? Can you full straighten your leg yet?
As mentioned before, make sure you eat healthy as f@ck, it will speed recovery time up dramatically. Also extension will be absolutely key. Get those quads firing.
Extension is back to normal, got the brace unlocked to 50* which has been heaven, the unfortunate yet inevitable weight gain has been depressing, especially with the holidays. Starting to bike but I still can’t generate a pace where I am really getting a workout…need help for food ideassss…ahhhh
