Posible Elbow Surgery for Nerve

recently after getting pt done for my elbows, in the follow up with my doc she said she saw some ulnar nerve issues, and that the were going to some test with needles to check out the nerve function to see about surgery. she said it was a lot like the freeing up of carpal tunnel and that it wouldn’t take that long to recover from, like a matter of weeks. but im uncertain about getting it. my pts told me I had issues with posture and needed to correct those first. but I don’t know if the surgery is a good option or not… ive read about people who have had the problem still being able to train. and my mri said there was no tendon or muscle damage. but im torn, should I just work on my body mechanics through my shoulders and stretch or should I actually get this surgery? does anyone else have experience with this?
