Porn/Libido Problem

yes I agree, it is not a hormonal thing, you may have been using porn as stress reduction/management… Check out this site for some articles… http://yourbrainonporn.com/

I would take a vow of abstinence all together… not with you’re girlfriend but no more masturbation and porn, even fantasizing about pornogrpahic things while rubbing one out or with your chick can send one to relapse… The best thing to do is to just clear youre head, block all porn from the computer and don’t ever look at porn again… For a person that has developed sensitized pathways relapse can happen if you start doing it again, even after a long time,… because chemically you are set for those huge spikes in dopamine and seeking behavior.

You will flatline and your libido may seem shot for up to six weeks. but thats a reboot, don’t use porn to allievate it, that is you’re brain re stabilizing to normal sexual behavior again… I could say plenty more but a good read over some core articles on that site should be more then enough information and understanding for you. It probably is a hormonal thing if he’s not getting morning wood. I still say he doesn’t need to be worried yet though, he just needs to give it time and relax. I think stress does have something to do with this case even if he doesn’t.

Theuofh, don’t worry I at least laughed. That was a good one.

Well yes I suppose in a part, but maybe not on a deeper level… Like there will be no permanent damage because the whole seeking dopamine behavior of hormonal seeking may be going through a change, but underneath that its not like he totally screwed up his brain… Just that it re structured to different behaviors and needs to go through a change and sometimes flat line to re balance into normal regular stable level patterns again… To me it just seems like that is a very surface level thing though and will stabalize in due time… I had my libido destroyed before but it was from celexa which is more of a chemical additive then a sort of psychological addiction… But even that re stabalized after the chemistry was used to not having that added serotonin spikes in the brain, when withdrawals and lingering side effects left.

My imagination is not nearly that good

OP - stop overthinking this

Id like to thank everyone for the info on the situation. I’ll obviously take everyone’s advice and not overthink the situation, give myself a little time to recover, and lower my stress levels. (although I can guarantee everyone that my life now is a walk in the pack compared to what it was this time last year, but I’ve never had this issue before)

So just so I understand and can stop worrying… Everyone on here believes that there isn’t any chance that I damaged my perineum &/or balls by doing any of the glute activation exercises? which basically amount to a male version of kegels…

Also if anyone could enlighten me on why my balls are hurting…whether it be connected to the situation or by just shear coincidence, that would definitely help out with my understanding of the situation.

You should probably see a Dr. boss. How the hell could we possibly know why your balls hurt? Go to a DR.

Its all in your head man. You are being very hard on your self (no pun intended). Get with your girl and make it your mission to get her off as hard and as many times as possible without your cock. You have made your self way to sensative to the issue.[/quote]

I could post pics of a broken dick.

Usually happens if the word “blowjob” is taken to be a literal description.

OP would know.

Definitely.

I believe there is a correlation between the inter-abdominal wall and the testicles. In depth, a weak or inhibited abdominal wall/pelvic floor can cause pain in the testicles due to the balls and deep abdominal walls being in the same neurological loop.

I am not 100% on this, but I believe it has something to offer you.

Get lean if you aren’t already.
No porn period, that includes watching it without masturbation.
This can be tough for some people but I literally mean no more porn period. If your girl dumps you it’s still helpful in that you will want to go out and try and get laid instead of staying and watching porn.

Well I was jw because you hear about a lot of bicyclists having perineum damage from riding/straining the muscle. And the fact that it happened so sudden seemed possible to me.

either way thanks for the input, you’ve posted valuable info here for me.

Thanks for the info. I am lean, obv as I said before Ill stop watching porn. ( I have no idea how I’m going to stop fantasizing about women I meet…I pretty much always thought that was a good thing)

My issues isn’t with my gf, even with all the porn I watched we still had great sex and my dick was always a baseball bat. the only real issue was that I lasted forever becasue I had already busted a nut previous to out sexual encounter.

LOL These two responses made my day,

On a serious note, I don’t think your problem is physiologic. The dopamine thing sounds more plausible. Also, the psychological factor is critical and I’m not talking about just stress. It could also be your relationship. Are you still attracted to your partner?

“if you have porn-induced ED, your brain is saying: “I can’t do this anymore”. Understand that your urge to masturbate is not true libido - you are addicted to porn, or your sexuality is conditioned to pixels. If you need porn to masturbate, or have a partially erect penis when you do, you are not horny or in need of “release”. You are addicted and in need of a temporary dopamine high.”

No one said you can’t fantasize about real women, just not porn… but for where you are at I think you would be better off just going obstinate for a while.
