That works just fine. I've always done full contact twists that way.
You might want to scrunch up a towel and use it as a barrier between the bar and the wall, if you don't want to damage the wall. This is usually the way I do it at client's homes.
I've been considering picking up a landmine/home base unit, where you can just slide the olympic bar into the sleeve and go to town.
But yeah, sticking the bar in the corner isn't as smooth on things like presses or lumberjack squats.
