60lbs and dropped two weight classes.
Good for him… but he lost his super heavy weight powers lel.
Srsly tho I think powerlifters get cheek for being fat but these days the fat powerlifter is less common at least if people are seriously looking to be competitive. Body composition is crucial, carrying as much muscle as possible in your weight class or at least more is an advantage over your competition. Maybe not bodybuilder sexy tho but in untested powerlifting you get some incredible physiques.
Gaglione being out angled by Larry Wheels who competes in the 242lb weight class
Mass moves mass but I’m not so sure about how efficiently fat does vs muscle. What I’m on about is all those extra pounds that pushed Gaglione up two weight classes into super heavyweight conferred little benefit powerlifting-wise and maybe had more to do with that he was busy with life and had a bit of trouble dieting for a while
