Pimp My Upright Row

Some people have problems with the upright row. What about armpit rows aka DB raises http://exrx.net/WeightExercises/DeltoidLateral/DBRaises.html ? Anybody ever tried these? I like them better because they work more of the posterior fibers while targeting the lateral deltiod.

I do them one arm at a time as heavy as I can.
