Picking Olympic Shoes

Ok…So my girl is going to get me weightlifting shoes for my cleans, front squats and back squats as I have a real problem going low with a narrow stance. I have a few options.

2004 Adidas Adistars
Adidas Ironwork II
Adidas Ironwork III
2008 Dowins

The 2008 adistars are just too much money at 200$, and I’m not that serious of advanced of a lifter that I can really justify them. The 2004 adistars look great, and have obviously been a proven shoe. I don’t know much about the Irownwork II or III. The 100$ price range includes the dowins and the Irownwork II. The 150$ price range includes the 2004 adistars and the Irownwork III. The Ironwork III are newer than the 2004 adistars, are they better? or do all adistars of just about any year beat all the other shoes?

you could go barefoot for free.

sorry, i’m not much help as i don’t know much about “weightlifting + shoes”. have you ever tried squatting sans shoes? not for everyone, but it’s an idea.

I have tried a few different olympic shoes and the ironworks are great. All the guys I know who have tried stacks of lifting shoes also agree. I have the ironwork II and they are perfect.

Damn…lol too late my girl got me the 2004 adistars I believe. I’m pretty sure I won’t be dissatisfied with them though…
