Phytoestrogens in Oatmeal

According to Wikipedia, “The list of foods which contain phytoestrogens include soy beans, tofu, tempeh, soy beverages, linseed (flax), sesame seeds, wheat, berries, oats, barley, dried beans, lentils, rice, alfalfa, mung beans, apples, carrots, wheat germ, ricebran and soy linseed bread.”

Knowing that oatmeal is a staple food around here, I just wanted to hear your thoughts.

Perhaps it is also worth considering the quantity of pyhtoestrogens instead of simply whether or not a food contains them?

My understanding was that, by soaking my steel-cut oats overnight and then pouring off the water, I am eliminating some of the potentially harmful substances.

I looked up man-boobs on Wikipedia and didn’t see oatmeal as a cause, so I guess they’re ok to eat.

Berries too? WTF! That does it, from now on it’s chocolate pop tarts.
