Physiotherapy in Ontario

This thread is intended for the physiotherapists and physiotherapy students in Ontario, or those who know something about the topic.

I am an undergraduate student in kinesiology and health science. I would like to apply to two physio programs in particular: the physio program at the University of Toronto, and the physio program at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

I was wondering what tips I could get from the intelligent folks on here.

  1. What can I do to enhance my chances of getting into the program? Grades and volunteer work is a given. What can I do besides that?

  2. Are there any tips that can help enhance my volunteer experience?

  3. Does anyone know what the top physio clinics are in Toronto and York Region?

  4. Does volunteering at a prestigious clinic enhance my chances of getting in, or is all volunteer work at any clinic essentially count the same?

  5. Anything else I need to consider?

Thank you all for your help!

Thanks a lot for the link.

But why did you choose this guy in particular?

I’ve read some of his writings about his experiences in the physiotherapy world, good and bad.
