Physio, ART ???

Not sure which route to take. Any advice would be helpful.

I broke my arm in July during an Armwrestling tourny. Spiral fracture to my humerous.

12 weeks later, the bone has rejoined and is almost healed. I’m no longer wearing a brace or sling.

Problem now is that I don’t have full ROM of my elbow (extension). I’ve be doing some streching and the like with no luck. I would say I’m about 80 - 85% of full normal ROM.

The Doc says that it is not the break that causes this to occur, it’s the imobilization of the joint. He also indicated that I may never get it 100% back to normal.

Any ideas on how to approach re-habing this? Thanks everybody.

bumpity?

Art would be perfect

Thanks!

Where should one look to find an ART specialist in their area.

I live in NB, Canada.

I had a patient a few months ago with a radial head fracture. The Drs. Hartle performed extremity adjustments as well as ART on the surrounding musculature.

When working with me, we did some basic mobilizations, microstretching and some EQI’s to try and restore the proper resting length. Try this out and let us know how it goes!

Stay strong

If you don’t have luck with the search engine, you might want to check out any universities nearby - their athletic dept. and/or health/physio dept. should know someone that does it, they might even employ someone for it if you’re lucky.
