Periodization Methods

So I’ve been thinking about this lately. Recently I add in a week of lower volume every 5 or 6 weeks after getting through a programme, but I’m wondering should i look into other methods? I have about 5 or 6 weeks before going away for the summer where I will switch back to 5/3/1 for 9 or 10 months to focus on strength again. I know that has its own de loads etc built in but wondering for regular bodybuilding what types you apply
