Peri-Workout Nutrition Questions

I would really Appreciate help with my peri workout nutrition as Im a student and unable to afford Biotest supplements yet im haveing to make do with what resources i have, im trying to gain strenght along with some mass currently i take a pre workout the consume a shake during training containg 30 grams protein 15 grams carbs and a post workout shake of 45 grams protein and 15 grams carbs again, is this the right way to consume nuturients around training time or am i completely wrong ? oh yes the carbs also are comeing from glucose sugar as i cant seem to find maltodextrin in shops here… all advice really appreciated
