Pelosi: Climate Change is Woman's Issue

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) addressed the Copenhagen climate change conference today, framing climate change as a women’s issue.

Speaking to a roundtable hosted by the Global Gender and Climate Alliance, Pelosi said the U.S. has for too long ignored climate change.

“For too long, America has failed to lead on climate change,” she said. “We have come to Copenhagen to say: 'Those days are over. America is back.”

Pelosi said women should be particularly concerned about the detrimental effects of climate change.

â??Women have the most to gain and the most to lose in the climate crisis," she said. “The impacts are not gender-neutral; as the primary users, managers, and stewards of natural resources, women feel the consequences first.”

She continued:

â??Changing agricultural conditions will hit women hardest. In most developing countries, women produce the vast majority of the household food supply. It is the worldâ??s grandmothers, mothers, and sisters in most countries who fetch water, gather wood and prepare meals. As resources become more scarce, so do opportunities for these women to attend school, tend crops, and lift themselves out of poverty.

Pelosi touted the House’s passage of cap-and-trade, higher fuel efficiency standards, and the U.S. Capitol’s decreased carbon footprint as evidence that the U.S. is serious about fighting global warming.

Why are feminist so fucking stupid?

We need to send her to fetch water, gather wood, and prepare meals in developing countries.

Yeah, and she should suck the male villagers off… Oh, nevermind, they’ll refuse. Malaria is better than a BJ from Pelosi.

She can’t breathing releases CO2 and so does burning wood…Just let 'em freeze.

Maybe she’s getting hot flashes and thinks they’re because of global warming…

I’d guess her hot flashes are long in the past.

And injecting Botulism is healthy for women?

Frau Pelosi, stop your babbling and get to the point…

Well, this isn’t the first time I’ve wished I had a penis.

Somewhat relevant…

This isn’t the first time we are glad that you don’t have a penis.

She should be made watch this repeatedly until she gets the fucking message.

Actually, I’ve heard that burning would and letting it decay release similar amounts of co2. The only difference being time scale.

Why the hell does it make worse that it is women and not men that are hit the hardest? I thought we were supposed to be equal!

Pure feminist hypocrisy. For them, women are strong, then only poor victims when it suits them better.

that bitch will be outed soon enough. she is not popular.

Women are more or less equal in the U.S and Europe, so it must be the same in the less developed countries. Stupid feminism.

Ours is not to reason why. They just are.

It’s a real puzzler that those who believe stupid things tend to be stupid.
