Pavlick Pulls Out of Fight

The Ghost Kelly Pavlick, instead of continuing the road to rebuilding what was at one time had the potential to be a stellar career…

pulled out of his fight Saturday night stating it was a “buisness decission”

As much as I wanted to jump on the Pavlick bandwagon, I just think nearly 30 years old, with tons of bad decisions and self destructive behavior and bad luck(moving up to catch weight to fight aging but dangerous B-Hop, moving up to super middleweight which nullifies many of his physical advantages over other middleweights, bad staff infections in his hand, and his drinking problems)

I just feel this young mans window is gone.

Very disappointing.

I read some stuff on Pavlik’s decision and I listened to his rant about Arum et al. I do think he was dicked about. But sometimes you’ve got to put up or shut up. If Pavlik thought he had the goods to beat Bute (I do not) he needed to knuckle down and do what was necessary. I feel sorry for his opponent, Cunningham, who apparently was training his ass off for this fight.

I have felt for some time that Pavlik’s hour has come and gone.

It’s a shame it didn’t work out =(
