A great book to read if you like the sciency aspect of paleo-type diets:
“Perfect Health Diet: Four Steps to Renewed Health, Youthful Vitality, and Long Life” by Paul and Shou-Ching Jaminet. 25% of the book are references to supporting literature.
It takes food on a micro and macro nutrition level. It is not a book about weight loss, per se, but does devote a short chapter to that topic. I would say it is a must read for any nutritionist or health care professional.
