Pacific Northwest Pack/Cell

Eugene, Oregon at the U of O

brider: yeah, painful. You’d think that instead of a trophy for winning a show after experiencing such torture, I’d be rewarded with a week of free beer. I’d prefer that, too!

Ike: April 5. If all goes well. I've been sick all this week. Even missed strongman training last night. Have been battling hacking cough and fever. However, all this coughing is bringing out my abs even more! Wild. Ha! If not April, then May 17 and the Oregon Ironman Naturally at Lincoln City. They have that one in a casino! I'll order my beer from backstage *grin*.

  1. So who’s interested in doing something? Food, of course, is always a catalyst.

    2. Who would have a ‘limiting factor’? (ie, Who’s cutting?) I, myself, am, as is Patricia as I understand it. Of course, I’m doing Joel’s Cheater Diet, so a calculated cheat is planned anyway. I would hate for Patricia and anyone else to have to sit there and watch us eat, however. Well, I’m sure we could find someplace ‘clean’ to eat, only the inability to tip a few back being the limiting factor. Anyway… anyone else have any thoughts and/or desire to get together? Any and all are welcome, of course!

Another from vancouver (BC that is)…took the Greyhound to Spokane a couple of years ago…nice place.

Bremerton here. But I just left for an indeterminate amount of time on a warship. I’ll represent away from home though.

The biggest issue for me would be timing. Got a lot on my plate, and a weekend trip for a T-cell meet-n-eat isn’t on the top of my priority list (sorry folks). Depends on when it happens.

You found T-Mag already, and you’re only 16? Whew! Stick around here, it will pay excellent dividends. If you haven’t started already, read -all- of the past issues, just because.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I can’t imagine having T-Mag available when I was 16. Whatever your goals are, Kathleen, stick to T-Mag. It will be an invaluable resource in all of your endevors!

i’m brand new around here, but live in se portland - work out at reed college, sometimes jungle gym in sellwood. good to see so many nw’s around here!

We train at the Jungle gym on Foster, Friday nights from 6-8. That’s when the Oregon Strongmen Club meets.

My biggest limiting factor is that I work weekends (free in the evenings). Other than that, I am pretty flexible.

If you go to Jungle Gym at around 6-8pm on Fridays, you’ll see Ko and I. We train with some Oregon Strongmen there. Should stop by and say “hello”!

Hell, I’d stop by that gym myself to see / get in on some strongman action, but alas… I’m dieting. As it is, I have enough glycogen right now to power a trip to the fridge, and that’s about it!

Maybe I will, I usually work my second job on Friday nights though (I might have this week off) - plus, not sure about exposing myself to the collective pool of fitness that is most likely the oregon strongmen , my head might explode! anyhow, whats the crossstreet for the foster jungle gym?

Never thought I’d read the word “Hermiston” on the 'net! Ain’t the world wide web a wonderful thing…Funny, I’ve got a buddy from New England that came out for a visit, and to this day it’s “Hermanston” to him. Never could get it through his head that that wasn’t the way you said it.

Just bumping this thread back to to get you all caught up to date on recent information. Patricia has recently started a group for all things Northwest and Testosterone at yahoo. You can find the group at the following address, I encourage all those interested to register:

http://groups.yahoo.com/ group/NW_tpack/

There is, obviously, a space between .com/ and group. At any rate, stop on by if you’re in our neck of the woods. We’re starting to get the ball rolling on some social meetings, as well as possibly getting Mike up here to swing some kettlebells!

What, no responses? Perhaps the thread got buried too fast.
