P + C Meal

First of all, I am not trying to justify horrible eating habits, but merely trying to understand the concept of insulin.

Suppose I eat 150 carbs, 75 of which are sugar. I also eat lots of protein and fiber, giving me a healthy source of food and slowing the insulin release.

The purpose of having a high insulin release is so that carbs and protein can be shuttled to the muscles.

So my question is: WHY SHOULD WE CARE ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF INSULIN RELEASED IN A P + C MEAL AND WHY LIMIT SUGAR? (This meal is not a PWO meal)

aside form the high response making massive amount be stored faster than the body can use it (fat) and leaving you craving more fuel (food) your also battling with issues of insulin sensitvity and further down the road possible problems with diabetes.
