Oyster Shucking Glove

Anyone shuck their own oysters? She Say has mandated I need a glove to shuck…any suggestions?

You don’t need a glove, just an oyster knife. Separate them from the joint, not other side.

If you drink when you shuck, a glove is nice insurance. I use the same glove when I use my mandoline.

I totally mis-read thread title.

Expectations were high when entering.

If you’re doing a few dozen, and you eat them often, then yeah I’d want a glove. You can really do a number on your hands without one.

I think the glove is a good idea, Sen Say, given your propensities.
