On leg day, the first superset with Front Squats, has anyone every substituted back squats instead of barbell lunges. I want to try something different tonight. Does CT have a specific reason for a single leg exercise after the front squats? Opinions?
He suggests those because they’re proven to work. But as he stated, you can make adjustments as necessary. I think the biggest reason that OVT works is because the tension it creates with a heavy load then dropping down to lighter weight and burning the heck out of the muscle(s) you’re working. I think as long as its working the same muscle(s) with the supplementing movement you’ll be fine.
And why not do it anyway? What might not work for someone else may very well work for you. Just do it and see how you feel during, after and the next day.
