Is it possible to actually gain fat during a week that you are overreaching Waturbury style because your body has no time to use the extra nutrients?

I’m eating more this week, but it is crazy - I actually see more fat and my muscles are shrinking (this is my killer week - 8 total body workouts over 5 days - then a back off week which I will NEED)

Will this all be fixed in my backoff week?

If you ingest more calories than you use during a given period of time those calories will be stored by your body, but i can hardly believe it would be possible to ‘out-eat’ that much volume as long as the intensity is halfway decent or your diet isn’t completely off.
