I'd like to add some overhead squatting to my training but have found some flexibility issues and can't perform a full squat. I believe i could be a little more flexible in my shoulders and have a greater arch in my back... but... my issue is mainly with the anterior muscles in my shins. Every time I do that damn squat my tibialis ant. contracts so hard i can't continue the squat.
Is this actually my tib. ant., lack of ankle mobility or some other issue? and any suggestions?
