Overhead Press Form


I'm a bit confused about this.

Should the scapulae be consciously retracted and depressed during the overhead press or should they be kept neutral? Is it alright if there's a little scapula movement from the proper position or is any movement at all grounds for automatic expulsion?

I prefer unconscious depression. I usually get that at night.


yes retract and depress on OHP's

Edit: Any press where there something under supporting you you should do that, if it's a free standing OHP you don't
