I was reading one of my old printed T-mags and wa reading the article about T2. At one point in the article Tim calle it anabolic. I was always under the impression that thyroid hormones suc as cytomel were catabolic. Could someone please explain this.
For the most part I would say that that
article was saying again an error that has
appeared many times in magazines. I’m sure
I’ve read it in at least five articles in other magazines prior to this article. There is
truth to it in a literal sense in that
thyroid hormone is necessary for normal
growth and development, and I suppose in
fact does increase synthesis of some proteins
(not skeletal muscle protein however I don’t think) and therefore is by definition anabolic. Just not a skeletal muscle anabolic.
There are mistakes made in the magazine
sometimes, unfortunately.
