Has anyone used oral yohimbe successfully to rid lower body fat? I remember Dan Duchaine recommended it, although I believe he said OY had assimiliation issues.

When I was a trainer I had a female pear shaped client, who had lost enormous ammounts of fat, in fact on the Durnim & Wormesley skin fold she was down to like 15% (all the pinches are taken on the upper body). She looked amazing from the waist up and the thighs down. But, she still had noticeably large hips – a wide ass.
So as a last resort I had her taking Yohimbe stacked with Xenadrine RFA-1(yeah, I’ve heard that’s a dangerous combination). And without any drastic changes in tested bodyfat - she was able to take a couple of inches off her hip circumference.
I want to shed the resilient fat stores on my lower back - does anyone know if this would help?
I have been using it for about a month now and have lost a good bit of my love handles. I show a 4 pack and still working on the lower abs and the residual handles.
I take about 3 times a day on an empty stomach before workout or exercise. I just have not seen anything on if it should be cycled or not. Does anyone know?
I also just purchased some Lipo-6 and it also has Yohimbe and I planned on adding a little more yohimbe to it after a brief layoff.
Brider mentioned that he takes it on an empty stomach. I’ve read an article that suggests that this is necessary for Yohimbine to be effective. Also, it works best on low/no-carb diets.
The article I’m talking about is on Meso-Rx, I’d go find the links talking about Yohimbine’s mechanisms and whatnot, but I’m at work would rather wait to find the links when I get home.
BTW, I am taking an NYC product right now and it seems to be working great on my lovehandles and stomach.

I’d really like to know who’s using my handle to answer on a yohimbe thread. I’ve NEVER used the stuff.
I had good results from MD6 which had yohimbe, but nothing from Twinlab plain yohimbe. Hopefully Hot-Rox will be better even than MD6.
I believe it helped me to get rid of some of the fat from my love handles. I first took it along with an ECA stack, and later used MD6. I never used it by itself, so I can’t be sure of how effective it is.
I’ve read that insulin interferes with yohimbe’s effectiveness.

I’ve had decent results with it. I agree though: it’s ineffective on a full stomach.
I have used extensively. 3X per day, before meals by at least 30 mins. Noticeable difference after 30 days. Eats away at love handles. I stacked it with an ECA stack.
Tampa-T says the transdermal yohimbe works much better but I have never tried it.
Yohimbe is actually a short term MAOI as well. I’ve noticed very significant problems with digestion, blood pressure, and mood swings while using certain forms of it. I personally don’t like it. It can give a serious headache among other things depending upon when you take and what you eat within the time that it is active as an MAOI. Everything I’ve heard suggests it does mobilize fat around trouble spots but it’s not worth it to me.
See I’m the opposite with yohimbe. I actually feel what you are talking about when I use ephedrine. The only side effects I get from yohimbe is an increased heart rate. I guess everyone is different.
I used in the past along with ECA stack had was getting good results but had to stop because it gave bad pains in my stomach. Although I might try again while on a low carb diet as a couple of posted in this thread.

Baby and Derek, I was just going to comment on the fact that this herb is used and sold commonly in male potency concoctions. I was surprised no one mentioned this. I imagine it, in part, is due to vasodilator activity.
Anyway, another thing to consider with oral yohimbe is the standardization for yohimbine. If we liken yohimbe to ephedra, then yohimbine is parallel to ephedrine. That is, you don’t care so much about the herb ephedra, but rather the effective alkaloid content of ephedrine. The same holds for yohimbine.
I was surprised that no one mentioned dosaging.
As mentioned, timing seems to be critical in that taken in with a meal or at times of high insulin, the lipolytic actions will be inhibited. For these reasons, it’s best to take it on an empty stomach, or as close to it as possible.
My dog Vain recommends a dosage in the middle of the night upon arising to take a whazzer and a dosage upon arising in the morning before fasted-state cardio. If fasted-state cardio is not part of the program, then I think taking it 15-30 minutes before a protein/fat meal, which precedes exercise, will be a viable option.
Since I have started my NYC and T2 stack I’ve noticed an increase in acne. Anyone have any ideas about this?
Timbo, good post. Standardized yohimbine is the way to go for sure. My NYC contains 2.7mg Yohimbine HCL. Also, it is important to remember that Yohimbine has an extremely short half-life (less than 20 minutes in the bloodstream, I believe). This is why it’s a good idea to take Yohimbine 30 min or so before a workout. And, why it’s a waste to take it after a P+C meal because your insulin spike will out last the Yohimbine.
Cy stated that Hot-Rox should also have a vasodilatory effect, perhaps it will be bonerific as well!
