One All Out Set and No More

I think that’s the important thing to take from all of this. I know for me, my squat doesn’t move unless I do multiple sets on free squats (I’ve recently been doing 3 sets of 10 or 12 and my squats finally starting to move in the right direction again). But that being said, one or two all out sets on the box has worked quite well recently too.

For assitance work I think the volume needs to be kept high tho. I mainly see them as a way to increase muscle mass and build work capacity so it makes sense to me to do multiple sets.
