Omega 3's

The best source of omega 3’s is probably very fresh oily fish or maybe carefully (cold temp and no oxygen or light) extracted fish oil eg. Sears. This way the oil is not denatured and retains the health benefits.

However, I was wondering if tinned fish such as mackerel, sardines, pilchards that are mixed with tomato sauce are relatively undenatured also; since the carotenoids and vit c in the tomatoes may protect against the oxidation that damages omega 3’s.

Any thoughts?
