Olympic Lifts

Everyone keeps telling me to add the Olympic lifts to my PLing workouts as they will strengthen me overall. However, I have no idea how to execute these exercises. In football we did cleans, hanging and power, but the coaches for the life of them could not teach us proper form and they themselves couldn’t execute the movement.

So I was wondering if there was an article/site with in depth written and pictoral instructions on the olympic lifts? I have a very hard time figuring out proper form, it took me 3 sets to master the bent over row, and need pictures.

I would also recommend Arthur Dreschler’s book, The Encyclopedia of Weightlifting, and for a faster more hands on book, check out Dan John’s awesome book, From the Ground Up!. You can get it at his web-site: danjohn.org

Great site, but the music in the videos sounds like a cheap porn soundtrack. If your in the office, just turn down the speakers!!

In addition to the advice already given I’d urge you to get some coaching? it’ll really put you on a fast track to success. You can find a certified USA Weightlfting Federation coach here:
