Olympic Lifting Shoes

Anyone out there know a good site for purchasing olympic lifting shoes? I love my chucks for deadlifting and regular squatting but i like a little heel elevation when doing front squats and snatches and such.

I highly recommend getting a pair of Do-Win (i’ve seen it “Dowin” as well) shoes. They are a very good workout shoe. They have a higher heel than some of the other brands, which helps those of us who aren’t as flexible. I bought my pair from glenn pendlay. He is an Olympic weightlifting coach who sells these shoes and other olympic weightlifting products on the side. He is regular posting to the weightlifting forum at www.goheavy.com, so I would just search there.

Those are the shoes I use. They are nice.

THANKS GUYS! those do-wins sound like just the ticket…i love the olympic lifts(i don’t pretend to be good at them) but i am as flexible as a 2 x 4 so these sound great.

what about sizing…i wear an 11 in chuck taylors does this correspond closely in the sizing of the olympic shoes?

Generally speaking, you want them to be snug so often times it is best to go 1/2 size smaller. However, this is why it is best if you can find a store and go and try them on.

I just went for my regular shoe size and that worked fine. Nothing worse than trying to lift with cramped feet!

I wear Adidas Adistars btw.

I was recommended Ironwork II’s off this site

i have these and they are totally awesome - great for a broad foot like myself.
Heel is a little steep though.

I got these recently and like them a lot. At $70, they’re the cheapest OL shoes you can get new (at least all that I could find), which is what I wanted as someone new to olympic lifts. They’re a bit ugly, but function > form.
