120 x 8 no knee wraps

belt fairly tight Velcro belt. I don’t like the Eleiko much yet.

PM 6.00 Power snatch 40 x5 40 x 5 72.5x1 x5 not quite clean but getting there. 75 kg x1 probably the best of the attempts x 1 x 1 x1 77.5 FAIL
High snatch pulls 77.5kg x5 x 3 few minutes rest in between.

TUESDAY- SQUATS safety squar bar 24 x3 34 x3 64 x3 100 x3 sans belt wraps
144 x3 with belt and knee wraps 154 x1 RPE 7 164kg x1 RPE 8 140 x1 100 x3 60 x3

not enough volume really but I am working out frequently so I will probably be ok.

Quit tired could BUP kettlebell afterwards. 24kg
I can probably hit more on the SSB if I have to resort to grinding out the rep. Don’t like that you can’t dump the bar forward even if flexible. I think I will stick to reps in the future. It is definitely suited to lower rep stuff.

Wed - Off

THURSDAY - SAFETY SQUAT BAR- 64 x 3 114 x3 =15s 134 x1 154x1 164 x1 RPE 6-7 i.e. easier than last time .However I felt weak today. Failed with 169kg .Had to dump it in a full squat.

FRIDAY - Power snatch 60 x3 70 x1 clean rep 77.5 fail fail fail fail fail , SGHP 77.5 2x2
PS 70 .
Deadlifts 110kg x 3 140kg x 3 200kg x5 hard last rep could do one more but it would very ugly.

I am worried I won’t be able to do my heavy high pulls , if I keep leaving them out.

Should be good for 240kg deadlift , if can get 5 on 80 % test I can do 20% more normally.

Still feeling beat up , gym hours are irregular anyway

was going to take day off but itching to get into the gym. I am still quite sluggish CNS is fried.

WEDNESDAY - Power snatch , warm with bar then 5kg - can just hold bar at very ends with hand closed and did a few OHS . 40kg x 3 x2
50kg x1 x 1 x 1 60 x 1 65 x1 67.5kg. x1 70kg x1 PB of sorts as it was a clean rep.
71.5kg press out

Deadlifts 70x3 100 x3 130 x1 180 x2 felt hard 240kg fail broke floor slightly 230kg also complete FAIL.

Not doing well but some improvements in flexibility. I can probably practise with 10kg each side for OHS. I CANNOT SAFELY USE 20KG EACH SIDE. I MIGHT BE ABLE TO DO 60KG WITH A CLOSER GRIP BUT IT MIGHT DROP ON MY HEAD.

THURSDAY - rest day - left leg hamstring is hurting a little .

MONDAY - following a template from Matt Foreman’s book for OL Master’s lifters in an effort to increase longevity and have more balance in my life. I have lost a little strength but I am getting more flexible over time. I can hold the ends of the bars and lower to a squat position holding the ends of the bar.

MONDAY- Snatch and flexibility work - bar for 10 mins 30kg PS, OHS , Back Jerk well snatch balance up to
50kg for snatch balance . Up to 65 for PS. Held bar at ends up to 50kg then grip failed.

FRONT SQUAT finished 110kg fairly hard crossed grip . tried straps could get it to work.
Bench 75kg x 10 100 x 5 quit too tired (bench is my addition btw)(
will do some ab work later

REST DAY - stretches , foam rolling etc

WEDNESDAY- Clean pulls up 140kg to belt used no straps up to 130kg .
Deadlift 140kg x 1 150kg x 1 160 x1 180 x1 190 x1 200 x1 all no belt no straps.

Tired today strength is down haven’t do heavy clean pulls for a while.
Still working on flexibility,

I may go back to the gym to do some back squats.

Why are you max deadlifting so frequently?

I do a lot of heavy pulls, too, but the fact that you have failed 240kg in at least three separate workouts in the last two months seems like you might be chasing a white whale at the expense of good, solid training time. A max-deadlift fail takes a lot out of you. And just skimming through your log, in only three months you have a whole lot of workouts that end with a failed deadlift single.

I also have the question about why you have an Olympic Lifting Log that doesn’t seem to do much for Olympic Lifting. How often do you think top Olympic Lifters do max deadlifts?

Thanks ActivitiesGuy. I am changing my programm to a 3 day a week OL programm from Matt Foreman’s book OL for Masters Lifters. I was hoping you would take a look at my programm. I want to structure it to peak each month (as per the programm) in percentages. I am just going to squat and not deadlift from now on .

OFF DAY- day off tranining

FRIDAY - Power snatch up to 70 kg nice clean rep at 70kg. I getting more flexible slowly.
Still have to hold ends of the bar.
Few squats with warms power snatch to Overhead Squat (OHS) and back squat up to 50kg cannot tolerate 60kg at the end of the bar.

Bench - 60 x 3 100 x 3 120kg x1 x 2 assisted was meant to be triple.

PR without straps grip was solid too

belt and straps 240kg x1 was a struggle but no downward motion easyish off the floor.

Won’t deadlift for a while.

Squat rack was occupied was scheduled for front squats.
I think my quads are a little stronger

Hit bag for 2 5 mins rouns
Bench 70kg 3 sets of 10 1 min pauses

5 chin-ups.

WED _ SQUATS - 60x 5 100 x 5 140 x1 150 x1 100 x3 100 x 3 100x3 SSB
YOKE walk to end of gym and back
46kg then add 2 plates up to 200kg . I could only take a few pace forward at 200kg
I guess I will adapt though.
Might add more work like this to lose weight.

Will do a late session today for Snatches.
