I am currently going a local gym that is a bit shit, it is packed, people do curls in the squat rack, people take 40 minutes to do 3 sets on the bench, there is no barbell for deadlifts so if people are benching and using the squat rack your fucked.
I have found this gym on line and it looks great, but I am not sure the rules on joining what looks to be a pretty serious body-building/power-lifting gym.
Is it cool for a guy who is a beginner to just turn up and join or is it expected that you are pretty good at lifting before you join?
