Olympic Bars and Power Lifting

Background: I just switched gyms, as I have moved. My old gym primarily had very rigid bars (Ivanko), and the new one has rather flexible bars (York).

While doing Oly lifts (power cleans, snatch, etc) were easier with the York bars, my squats and deadlifts seem to be suffering. Is it common to have worse power-lifting numbers using flexible bars, or is it merely a case of needing to become accostomed to having the bar bend before the weights move?

This is common.
Because of the “rebound” the bars make when you lift them, your whole body has to compensate for the shock in imbalance.
Invest in a good bar, because overused bars do make a difference, and can be dangerous when you’re doing the quick lifts.
