Olive Oil Boosting Testosterone?

Apparently olive oil increases the production of testosterone by helping helps the testes to absorb more cholesterol.

So cholesterol and healthy fats are needed to optimize testosterone production?

The study compares 4 “healthy fats” soya oil, olive oil, coconut oil, and grapeseed oil, and concludes that olive oil is superior in helping the testes to absorb cholesterol with coconut oil finishing a close second

Soya oil, olive oil, coconut oil, and grape-seed oil were all looked at in the study. Olive oil seemed to do a better job at helping the testes to absorb cholesterol. Also, the Argentineans described how this happens in an earlier study. Olive oil and coconut oil increase the activity of the 3beta-HSD and 17beta-HSD enzymes. These are involved in the manufacture of testosterone. Olive oil and coconut oil also raise the concentration of the bodyâ??s own antioxidants in the Leydig cells, which produce testosterone. In the present study, the researchers went a step further. They found a relationship between the diet, the amount of free cholesterol in the Leydig cells and the testosterone level.
