Oldtime Strongman Routine

What do you guys think of this routine?

Handbalancing Practice
5x3 Squat Cleans
5x3 Squats
5x3 Overhead Presses
3x5 Overhead Press Lockouts
5x3 Weighted Chin-ups or Weighted Rope-climbs
3x3 Zercher Deadlifts
3x5 Rack Pulls

I wouldn’t do it.

break it up over the week

is that supposed to be one day???

That would be pretty brutal to do in one day. I would say break that apart over the week. Or possibly if you are stuck at a plateau do it in a day, but be prepared to take a day or 2 off after it. Assuming you are not sandbagging the workout.

I hope that by “Zercher deadlift” they are referring to the actual Zercher lift and not this:

Technically that is the “actual” Zercher lift.

I would break that workout down like this, if you can train 3 times a week.
Day 1 Monday
5x3 Squat Cleans
5x3 Squats

Day 2 Wednesday
5x3 Overhead Presses
3x5 Overhead Press Lockouts
5x3 Weighted Chin-ups or Weighted Rope-climbs

Day 3 Thursday
3x3 Zercher Deadlifts
3x5 Rack Pulls

Day 4 Saturday
Events ie: yoke walks, farmers walks, stones, keg loads ect.

Move to an acreage or near a junkyard. Have at it. Never use the internet again.
