100 is good idea.
Anybody carrying a 200 for l/2 mile would also profit from a 200+ one too.

Congrats on setting the record - twice.
Thank you

It’s been a couple weeks since I got to work on the guns, due to meet prep.
Throw is easy. Find a round stone, 16# or 24# is used in the Highland Games. Or a regular tire, 16# sledge hammer, etc. Now put on a kilt and heave away. If you decide to throw the stone, make sure you put it and not let it drift out from your neck. And yeah, you will leave nice holes in the yard.
Nice holes in the yard. Jeez.
I know a guy, Bobby Dodd, who has competed in Highland Games for years. I am very curious about it. I am now thinking of buying a sled.
If you get the chance do a Highland Game to it. Great fun and you’ll be surprised at how helpful the competitors are to beginners no matter the age. Competitors look at as the more participants they can get involved the better. Got to have a kilt.
I’m down with the kilt.

I really was not feeling it this morning. I scrapped everything and finished off with the set of 315.
Momma said there would be days like this !
I googled “palm cooling” yesterday. Cooling ones palms cools blood that removes heat from core which slows fatigue. A Stanford professor on youtube raved about it and a guy on youtuge tried it successfully with handstand pushups, pullups and presssing work.
Apparently, no kidding. Might be useful for Highland games and powerlifting.
Interesting.

Weighted Walk Monday is moving to Wednesdays. I figure I need more recovery after deadlifts. Tonight I was just looking for random stuff to carry. I’ll probably get back into the sandbag next week.
I took some advice from Harry and worked in some sledge hammer swings. My “sprints” are a relative term. I’m built like a dump truck, so I don’t run very fast.
I went to the doctor for a check up a couple days ago. My blood pressure was way higher than normal. I am committed to getting my blood pressure and weight down. I need to work in more conditioning. Of course my job is stressful, so that does not help. My mother was also in management and she told me her’s went way down when she retired. Just four more years…
Blood pressure needs to take top priority.
Sledge hammer swings are great. You’ll likely be beating on a car tire soon.
They took it the first time on one machine and it was 163/92. I told her it has never been that high and I asked for a manual check. This time it was 142/82, which is just slightly higher than normal, but much higher than what I normally run. I had my eyes checked yesterday, and it was 134/83. Much better. I’m going to buy my own digital cuff.
My wife did not bat an eye when I told her I am buying a prowler. That should really help with strength and conditioning.
