Old, Beginner, Trainwreck

Thanks guys, and whiskey is important, but coffee is mandatory!

Can’t play this mornIng, have to leave early. Taking my dad over to the VA for his appointment. After i get him all settled in, I am going on the search for “tupperware”, a new phone, groceries, and possibly a 45 DB, oh! And maybe some art supplies! Shhhh! Don’t tell nobody. Then by the time I go pick him up, change his oxygen, push his ass around in his wheelchair a few more miles, maybe there will be enough time left for some squats when we get back home. Or they might have to wait till tomorrow…we will see.

P.S. can you tell the wheelchair is a sore subject?

depends
i do not look down or judge anyone in a wheel chair if they honestly need it,for reasons beyond their control ,however i DETEST people who use one for an excuse
my first wife cried when she got to the point she needed a wheel chair
your drive to works looks cool

That view is awesome. I miss dirt roads!

In the “mental side” thread you mentioned that your 11 year old is autistic. My 12 year old is as well. I don’t know that he so much doesn’t play well with others as he just doesn’t want to play with them…lol.
That is really cool that he has watched you and was able to mimic the movement. Despite seeming like they are disconnected, autistics see and hear much more than you would ever know. Often times, more than they want.
My 12 year old said something to my wife about my “big, beautiful bulk”. I am not sure if he was talking about my shoulders or my gut, but it was cute either way.

He did not NEED it when they gave it to him, but now he does. It just kills me for him to be in that shape, with the attitude he has.

You should see the house at the end. This dude is a recluse, but has some exquisite taste.

Oh yes! He soaks up everything. I don’t even like the word autistic because people think it is a disease. It’s not, they just see things differently than we do. He has taught me so much. Mine sees the good in everything. Always positive. He is some kind of wonderful. Will he ever run the winning touchdown in? Probably not, but he would be able to tell you, exactly of what, why, and how the ball was made!

Absolutely! He does not need fixing.
Christopher can tell you every detail…and I mean every detail…about Godzilla (original through the latest), Power Rangers, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, every bad SyFy channel monstrous animal movie (with special details for the Sharknado series) and half the anime ever shown.
And he hears everything. Unless you are trying to get his attention, of course.
Honestly, he is the easiest of my three. I worry about the struggles that lay ahead of him. Other than that, though, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Jed’s is dinosaurs and all animals.

Christopher and I need to get together. I have every Godzilla movie, including those only released in Japan, plus every kaiju to include all Gamera and Rodan, probably every scifi from the 50s and 60s, the full collection of Bleach, the anime, and dozens of others. My wife wakes up in the middle of the night and says, “most men watch porn, you watch giant monsters,” If I figure can figure out how to put vids on here I’ll put a cute clip on here. That’s it, I’ve revealed my true inner geek to the world. I feel so liberated!

Well that explains a lot! Lol

Drive faster…I hear banjo music.

And God bless with all the rest )

No worries, my guitar is in tune…:joy:

The dastardly villains over at the VA hospital know nothing about gains. Thought I was going to starve to death before he got his blood work done! Ended up eating my emergency stash I keep in the pick up. Not near enough food yesterday, paying for it today. If I carb up 3 or 4 more times this evening, I might live tomorrow. Cut my shopping trip short and screwed everything up.

The good news is, I got my new phone. Bad news is my email is not working. Did find the cutest lil 1 1/4 lb plates yesterday, for$1. And I looked at the Tupperware. I actually picked it up and thought about it, right up until I put it’s greasy feeling, plastic ass back on the shelf. Just couldn’t make myself. I did however buy a case of pint, wide mouth, mason jars with lids. Close enough! Not enough time to shop for the rest of it, so I just bought more food instead.

Sounds like a great kid!

Thanks Z. And I surely have been.

He really is. He is 11 and stands 5’1" and weighs 125 lbs. A few more years and I won’t have to lift anything again…lol

This is bad! Very, very, bad!
