Obama: Quit Listening to Rush!

"He then told them to break free of the confrontational mindset epitomised by Mr Limbaugh, the highest paid talk show host in America. “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” Mr Obama said.

His comments followed a blunt attack on him by Mr Limbaugh, who declared on air that he hoped Mr Obama would fail as president because otherwise it will usher in socialism.

With characteristic robustness, he said: “We are being told we have to hope he succeeds, that we have to bend over and grab our ankles… because his father was black, because he’s the first black president, we’ve got to accept this.”

Go get him, Rush! Tear this false Messiah a new one!!!

$20 on Obama

Eh, this is no different behavior that was exhibited by the former administration.

The fact of the matter is that the right seemingly has many more nationally syndicated voices on air so I am sure Obama only meant it as an example and not as a personal attack against Mr. Limbaugh.

Funny that Limbaugh was not afraid of socialism while the former president allowed the banks to be nationalize and did everything in his power to take rights away from private citizens.

Limbaugh was against the bailout. Nice try

Ahh, another incredibly heartless, moronic, oxygen stealing waste of space who acts as a ‘conservative pundit’… And SURPRISE- he’s got a huge following.

But Limbaugh is not against socialism…he just likes the “conservative” variety.

How many of you have listened to Rush on a regular basis?

I could care less if you post a whole slew of other quotes, the man’s a racist and bonafide retard.

He says some things a I agree with, some things I don’t agree with. Overall, he comes off like a complete asshole. I can wsee why people who agree with him love him so much.

He’s no different than Micheal Moore or Al Franken or Bill O’Reilly or Bill Marh. They’re ALL complete ass holes but when you agree with them most of the time you find it endearing and clever instead of horrid and annoying.

lol. Pretty much true across the board. Although, and I suppose this sets me up something horrible, I think he’s a helluva lot funnier (in a “cringe humor” sort of way) than any of the other personalities you mentioned. Esp. Franken since he quit writing comedy. Flame away!

This is one thing I will actually say for him–I don’t think he’s a racist. I think he says things just to flout the accepted speech. And I know he’s no retard, if only for the fact that he built himself a media empire so successfully. I think he likes to make very outrageous statements as a way to bring attention to his stance.

Much like Coulter. She’s not a retard either, just really really really likes to make completely outrageous statements to market herself.

You can call him an asshole though, and I won’t argue that at all.

We didn’t get through one page without a whiterperson accusing a white conservative of racism.

You are “super not-racist.”

I think we’ve found our new conservative boogieman, now that Bush is out.

I consider myself to have conservative views. Although GWB supports our military and doesn’t take shit from rogue countries he is by no means a conservative. He may be socially conservative, but fiscally speaking he is VERY liberal.

I have a major issue with ALL American’s not not taking him to task for his “I hope Obama fails” comment last week.

To want the leader of your country to fail simply because you disagree with their political approach is completely sickening. People like Rush want their team to win even if their country fails. This is more than a difference in opinion.

Oh come on now… You know that the average Rush hater NEVER listens to his show. The only time they hear him is when Olbermann plays a 15 second sound clip taken out of context on his show.

Wow.

I believe Rush wants Obama to fial in the sense that he wants his ideas to fail. Rush thinks Obama failing will result in a better time for America (which is, in reality, Obama ‘winning’.)

He is using “Obama” as a stand in for “Obama’s Platform” not “President Obama representative of the US”.

Any of this getting through to ya?
