Nutrition Help For Basketball


I’m trying to get bigger and stronger for basketball over the summer.

At first I planned my nutrition for my training over the summer.

Originally I had planned my nutrition to that of a bodybuilder. Then I realized that bodybuilders and strength athletes are different.

Should i still eat like a bodybuilder during my strength training?

Like 2x protein in bodyweight and 3000 calories?

I am 14 years old, 125 pounds and 5 foot 5.

Help will be appreciated.


I gave you some exercise recommendations on your other thread. As far as eating goes, you need to be eating everything you can. With basketball and training, you will be able to eat whatever you want and not get fat. Forget about eating like a bodybuilder. You need to eat like a 14 year old kid who wants to gain weight.
