Nutrition for Newbies and Workout Nutrition.

Just been searching through some old articles for some more nutrional related goodness… came across the nutrition for newbies two part series by CT.

In the first article he outlines some equations to calculate ones calorific requirements… working out the BMR then multiplying by activity factor.

Now theres no mention however of workout nutrition - is this added on top of the numbers we are given - eg. work out the Dynamic Energy Expenditure and add on top for example two servings of Surge on training days and eat just the DEE on non training days… or do we take the workout nutrition from the DEE so every day has the same calorific requirements?

Thank you for any help!

Anyone?

You could go either way with this. It entirely depends on how YOUR body reacts to either option. If you decide to go with the Surge on top of the calories you are taking in, and it works, keep it that way. If it doesn’t, then drop some calories on training days to account for your PWO shake.

Was thinking this would make life a hell of a lot easier - would mean no fiddling around with several different meal plans.

I’ll opt for a slightly lower activity factor maybe?

What do the majority do?
