I’m injured now and can only be doing upper body weights and water running (steady state cardio) for my legs.
I have two types of days:
lift upper body 9-10 am Surge right after
usually a carb+protein meal 1 hr later at 11-12
water run 12:30-1:30
If I have this 2 hour block between lifting and cardio should I be having the second carb meal, or should I wait and eat carbs after the cardio for best effects?
2nd type of day:
just water running
here I can either get up, eat a full breakfast with carbs, then go run, or I can get up, drink some whey, go run, then eat carbs after.
My goals are clean, slow muscle gain.
What would be best? Is carb tolerance also increased after cardio?
