I know this may be a beginner question even if I’m not.
I just wonder when you count how many sets there are in a program that does include descending set for example 1*4-6/6-8/8-10, does that is 1 or 3 sets?
And what about rest-pause 8-2-1 one extending set or 3???

I think you might find that everyone counts them differently.
Heres how I do it (which does not make it right). On descending sets I count them as separate sets. On rest pause I count it as one set. Unless I am resting :30 or so on the pause (which I do not do).
depends on the intensity, reps, and rest used. The way i look at it is if the reps are 3 and over with the rest being greater then 30 seconds, and or the intensity is 90% or greater then it is a set. laters pk
