Numb in Arm After BJJ Training

hey guys, I have a question about an injury Ive received recently. Ive been training in BJJ for a few months now and have noticed that lately my right arm starts to fall asleep when I put any sort of pressure on it. It’s not debilitating, but it is a mild annoyance. I was wondering what it could be. Has this ever happened to any of you before?

go see a doctor.

well I plan on it if it doesnt go away on its own. But it has been getting better

I say it not to be a jerk, but because no one here is a doctor.

and its easy to get bad advice from the professional jujitsu crowd.

I was suffering from a numb feeling down my arm that I first thought was due to BJJ. Went to see a sports medicine specialist and it turns out it was the way I was holding my shoulder whilst moving the mouse on my computer.

A few bouts of Physio and an improvement in my seating posture and I don’t have that problem any more.

Go see a specialist, no-one here is able to give you a decent check up over the internet.

It could be something really simple like mine was, it could be nerve damage due to twisting incorrectly. You won’t know till you get it checked out properly.

well I was just wondering what it could be and what possible treatments there are. I hope all Id need would be physio and not have permanent damage. My arm is starting to feel better, but Im booking a doctors appointment as soon as Im done exams.

Hope its nothing serious!
