hi- so I just figured I would throw this out there because I am at the point where I am gonna do something or toss this stuff in the rubbish and move on.
I went to a TRT dr about 2 months ago. I was given a 3 month supply of test cyp (rx was 200 mg/wk in 2-100 mg injections weekly) some hcg (I have to mix it. 3 bottles I believe they are 11000 I/u each that I have to dilute w 6.5 ml of solution) and some arimidex (1 mg tabs). So I did a ton of research both before, during, and after the visits. That led me to post my rx on a few forums. and along w my original apprehensions I had about the whole thing anyway, it seems like my dr ordered out of date tests and prescribed me a highly unorthodoxed therapy (from the feed back ive received unorthodox is putting it kindly). Nevertheless I have made up my mind that I do not want to do his trt therapy. so since I paid out of pocket for everything- labs, meds, visits, etc., my question is: is there some sort of way I can utilize the meds I have to get something out of it kinda like a “light cycle”? I have never done any cycles before. I am 42 years old. so should I just toss the stuff in the trash and move on? makes no diff to me. to be honest if there is no good suggestions that may actually be worth it I prob prefer to toss it in the trash and move on rather than screw up my #s (which are pretty fantastic for a 42 year old if I do say so myself) esp if the payoff would be next to nothing or not worth the trouble. I work out 5 to 6 x’s a week follow a strict diet track my macros use a few supps etc. been doin it for over 20 years. and I am really no that upset w where I am at. I am just trying to be honest here.
any thoughts, feedback, or 2 cents would be appreciated.
Why would you go to a trt clinic if you numbers are all good? If its some provate lab dont they have interest in selling you? How much cyp fo you actually have? 200mg for 12 weeks-24ml(3montha u said). So 3 10ml vials? You can do a cycle 10weeks at like 400-500mg.
From what I’ve seen and the majority of the feedback Ive gotten, the labs he ordered were severely outdated (left out some important numbers and tested for others that were not important) (ive posted my labs in other fourms) the doses he prescribed of the adex and hcg were off the charts (again compared to what I’ve seen and what’s been told to me).
So if I did the math correctly (it was an 11000 i/u bottle of hcg compound diluted w 6.4 ml of solution) it came out to be roughly 3300 i/u’s hcg daily (i dont have the paperwork in front of me on how much ea inject was but it equated to somewhere near that amount) and 1mg tab of adex daily as well.
The math is wrong on the hCG, but that’s neither here nor there. You have 90 tablets of 1mg arimidex, which in theory should last you over a year, so you’re definitely right that that isn’t a responsible dose. I guess my question would be why don’t you just run what you have—at normal doses—and then go find a more competent doctor?
Yea I thought so w regards to the hcg but still it seemed very high compared to what I gathered was standard based on all the relevant info. And I got a 3 month supply of all 3 things so yes that would be 90 pills at 1 a day. And that dose most of all realky stood out to me bec ir could really screw me up.
To answer ur question yes that’s what I planned on doing but dig out what’s normal seems to be next 2 impossible for a lay person like me. Everyone is diff and it seems the only thing that’s consistent is how tricky the adex dosage can be. Some dont di some do this much some do that much so I guess I’d ask u what’s a normal dose of hcg and adex?
So my protocol is as follows:
200mg/w test c, split dose
.5mg adex 3x a week
500 hCG 2x a week
However, I use much more adex than a lot of guys. For whatever reason my e2 gets very high, even with such a small test dose. You may need none, you may need 2mg/w. Just no way to know until you get blood work after at least a month into treatment.
I also use more hCG than is strictly necessary, but maintaining fertility was very important to me, so my endo went a little heavier on the dosage than he normally would have.
If you wanted to start a protocol for yourself you’d do the test as it is, start out with a small dose (or even none) of the adex, like .25mg twice a week, and 250iu hCG twice a week. That would be well within the range of what most doctors (and patients, who often know more than their doctors, sadly) would consider a reasonable program.
did you actually count the pills? 90 really? they come in boxes of 24 so how? @iron_yuppie s protocol is normal, if your body fat is high that could be why aromatisation is higher.
totally doesnt make sense that they would give you 1mg per day prescription, how reputable is this clinic? do you know anyone that goes there? even if your way overweight and taking 1000mg a week of test thats a shit load.
Hey first off thanks for taking the time to have a little give and take w me. Thanks! Also thanks for all your feedback. Very helpful. I am going to start that routine. Only thing I would ask is should I get a diff doc first? Bec if I want blood work a month in to check if the adex dose is good would I not want that scheduled first?
I know. I totally agree but that’s what it is which is y I never started. Yes it’s a fairly reputable place it’s been around and I know a few fellas who go there.
Also the adex seemed to be the one component of the therapy which was not only the tuffest to get right but most important to get right and everyone was different. So I never started.
I would call around and see if you can speak to another doctor. When you get the appointment let them know the situation and simply say that you’re not comfortable with your former protocol and see what he/she says.
Hey so I’ve been doing a ton of research on my own since my original apt and I have settled on a protocol I feel comfortable with:
200mg test c (2x100 m,thur)
.5 adex 2xs a week
250 i/u’s hcg 2xs a week
My thinking is this at the end of the day even w our GPs we are responsible for our own well being and taking care of ourselves (sometimes on my yearlys I find myself wondering is this guy even listening we have been over this already and hes not the only dr I’ve felt that way about) so I will prob start w this and see how it goes get some labs and track my progress. I will keep the same dr i saw the first time and let him know my intentions get his input and go from there. If it doesn’t go well speaking w him I can always call around then. I made an apt w him to discuss all this and then begin. I dont think I’ll start anything until I see him. I appreciate all the feedback. Thanks.
