Normal T Levels, No Libido with ED Issues

I started taking T shots a little over a year ago. My T Serum was 311- 348. I had low energy but other than that I was fine. I started taking shots and around the T level of 650, I noticed that my libido was poor and have a little trouble with ED. Doc said not to worry it will pass. I am now at around 939 and ED is terrible and my libido is shot. I had ZERO ED or Libido issues prior to the shots. E levels are all normal. I am not overweight and have no other factors that are common in ED.

I take shots every two weeks. The closer I get to shot day the less of an issue I have. I feel my libido inching back, still have ED, but at least its trying. Then I take the shot and it just dies again.

I have asked my Doctor about it. He refuses to consider that the shots have any negative effect. He will only prescribe ED meds but I have god awful side effects to all of them. Some of the side effects last for weeks.

I want to stay on the shots if at all possible. The energy is fantastic and really helps me in the gym, but I am considering stopping to try and fix the ED issue.

Any one else have this issue? Any other factors I should be looking at?

Anything helps. Thanks.

Your problem is your doctor who does not really have a grasp of the issues. A bit of reading and you will know more than the doc. I referenced a sticky for finding a TRT doc below.

We need more info about you.

Is fertility preservation important?

You unknown dose of T is creating a lot of estradiol that is spoiling the game.

Please be specific about T dose.

Where are you located, affects your diagnostic and treatment options.

Post your recent lab results with ranges. Not just hormones.

Please read the stickies found here: About the T Replacement Category - #2 by KSman

Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

Fertility is unimportant. I do not need anymore children. I am on a .6 ml shot of 200mg/ml T once every two weeks currently. The T serum ranges are 348-1197 ng/dL with the most recent level at 939. When I first started I was on 1ml once every two weeks with a level of 646 range 348-1197 ng/dL, two months in. We reduced to .75 ml shot at 200mg/ml and my levels rose to 919 range of 348-1197 ng/dL My estradiol levels went from 17.1pg/ml prior to shots to 12.3pg/ml with a range of 7.6-42.6 pg/mL, 6 months into the therapy. So they actually decrease, but they’ve only been tested twice.

I will start checking my temps as per the sticky. I appreciate the guidance.

I live in San Antonio TX and have only been one urologist. I have set up an appointment with another one at the end of the month.

I’m also experiencing improved libido closer to my injection day, lately though I’ve noticed in the last couple of weeks my libido improves a few days sooner and 1-2 days after my shot libido drops until nearing the end of the week. Every two week injections is just stupid, I don’t know of anyone that ever fully recovered injecting that far apart. Time for a new doctor!

Start visiting the Donald subreddit daily. LOL.

No fap and no porn will help. Start meditating or Yoga a couple times a week.

Hope it improves.
