I met, “sparred” very briefly with a US TKD Olympic Gold Medalist. Maybe he was out of condition, but he couldn’t even do a full front split, and his side split was barely better than mine LOL; plus, he kicked me low right on the cup LMAO. And it was in a kung fu school run by an ex-professional kickboxer. Strange times…

My opinion, and we all know about opinions, once you make a fighting style a sport, Judo and TKD to name two, you destroy it. They were never meant to have rules outside the dojo, dojang, etc.

We’re having High School Football here this season. Yesterday was the second week. You’ve got to have on a mask on and you’re suppose to do social distancing which everyone seem to do. Families were bunched up but kept the distance. Great-nephews High School beat the opposition 70 - 13. He can stay in the family til the next game.
Began the day with a 2000m swim. Haven’t gone this far since I got back. Felt good. Spend the rest of the day at big brothers cleaning, loading and shooting. Wife loves her Ruger MK3. 22 ammo is still relatively inexpensive.
Big BarBQ at a brothers place Monday. Almost feels kinda sacrilegious to celebrate Labor Day when you’re retired from working. The original Blobs on Svengoolie tonight. Good times.

Morning - 1.5 mile run
Changed the throttle position sensor in my old Mazda truck. Has my “check engine” light staying on. What a pain in the butt. Could barely get a stubby phillips head in there to get it in and out. Changed it, oil and filter, new spark plugs and wires ,110,000 miles on them, air filter. Missin some skin on the hands. Next i’m gonna put new brakes on it when I feel motivate. Trying to convince a great-nephew to do it.

At least you were successful. I got the parts to change the wheel bearing hub on my car and can’t break the axle nut loose. WD 40 and penetrating oil.
Rachet, breaker bar, impact, breaker bar with small pipe, another impact, racket with 5 foot pipe. Breaker bar with 5ft pipe basically jumping up and down on it at this point. Nothing worked! Very frustrating.

It may come that. I will go the tire shop today and see if Dustin will hit it with one of his big impacts on for me. Hopefully the WD 40 will help by then. :crossed_fingers:

Dojo time in the morning.
Took the wife to COSCO in the afternoon. We now have enough provisions to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. Usually put down a couple of foot long hot dogs when we go there but the foot area was closed because of the COVID.

Swim - 1500m, run 1.5miles
Kata, Poomse for 1.5 hrs. Put in and wrapped a new makiwara. Used the rope stuffing from an old sheaf to wrap it. Found an old pix of the sheaf. Think I may have posted it on here a few years back. Might not come out, still trying to figure out the posting here. I take it all the old vids and pix were taken off?
