It was a nice day here too! Pulled weeds for one of my peeps for 5 hours. 98 degrees and wasn’t even dying. Thank God for the low humidity! It’s gorgeous outside right now, 60 degrees at sunrise this morning. Maybe even cooler in the morning.

Bench - 135wu, 185, 225, 275, 295, 315 x 1, 225 x 8 x 3. The 315 was ugly as hell but it was strict and went up. Won’t be long til 3 plates will be a fond memory like 4 is now.

We’ve been dry since the last Hurricane. More coming in though. The river just likes to tease me. Nice and calm, then high and fast. If I could sing I think I’d burst into “Ol’ Man River” here.

Squats (yeah squats) bar wu, 115 x 10, 135 x 10 x 3. Managed to force myself under the bar with 2 fingers on each side of the bar. Real careful reracking or the fingers would of been caught. Felt great to actually squat again.

Zerchers? I’m impressed! Solid work on those deads. Not a huge fan of the stair climber. Takes more mental sharpness than I have about 95% of the time…

Well, shit.
Day started off great. Overcast slight cooling breeze, great throwing weather. Headed out to the field, good session. Threw the shot, hammer, and discus. For a brief second even thought about getting my javelins out. Slapped myself and thought passed real quick. Got home, wife’s getting lunch ready, amble out to check the mail. Guess I shoulda been a bowler who apparantely are immune to COVID. All Senior Olympics canx, except Bowling, because people ain’t signing up and the COVID is once again spreadin like wild fire in Tennessee. Tomorrow, back to the gym, after heading down and rolling a few games at the lanes. Now, where’s my Jamesons.?

Yesterday, short swim, only 500m, then a 3 mile run. a little farther than usual but just felt like going a little farther. Hid in my den last night with my Jameson, cigars, and The War of the Gargantuas. Wife and friends were playing Mahjong. 2 tables, 8 players, with 2 extra who rotate in an out of the tables. The 2 not playing cook. So I’d come out. Load up a plate, back to my room. Made several trips.
Today, started raining in the middle of the night and hasn’t quit yet. Suppose to rain steady for the next couple of days.
