Yes, he died this morning. He was 85.

There was a big write up in the local English paper today about his life and accomplishments. He did a lot for the sport and a lot for my city of Montreal as well.

Man, have a little respect. Ben Weider, although I don’t endorse his philosophy, was the founding father of bodybuilding. No matter what bodybuilding inspires you, gyms and lifting culture originate from there, so you should at least shut up if you nothing more interesting to say. Let the deads rest in peace and show you have a bit of class
